The Pulse X is the premium spec'd big brother of the ever popular Pulse. This e-bike has all the features that make the Pulse so popular with a few upgrades on top. In addition to the full mudguards, lights and rear pannier rack, the Pulse X has an altogether more high performance set-up with a large battery and high-torque motor as standard. This provides a huge range of up to 80 miles on a single charge as well as the extra torque to get you up any hill with ease. This premium hybrid also boasts SR Suntour NCX air suspension forks that give more responsive cushioning than spring forks, widening the range of terrains this bike can handle. The upgraded Shimano Deore 9-speed gear system changes smoothly and quickly. When coupled with the Bafang high-torque motor and Tektro hydraulic disc brakes, this bike has acceleration and braking power that will exceed expectations.
The Pulse range has a unique look and every care has been taken when designing the latest model to adhere to the ever popular frame shape and style of graphics as its predecessors. The attention to detail is evident here in features like the smooth frame welding and logo impressed into the front of the frame.
This e-bike comes with 4 pre-set speed options including "V-Active Drive" which provides power assistance that varies depending on the speed of pedalling. V-Active Drive technology is unique to VOLT™ and expands the range of ways the motor can deliver power within pedal assist modes. The remaining 4 settings ascend in power with 4 being full power, reaching the top speed of 15.5mph. All of this can be controlled by the sleek, waterproof LCD display mounted on the handlebars.
You can view the full bike, battery and motor specifications below. The best way to discover the Pulse's excellent cycling experience is to take it for a test ride. You can book a demo here or find a reseller near you on our UK dealer network page.

"After a lot of research and with no experience of e bikes I eventually decided to buy the Pulse X from VOLT™. I bought it via the Electric Bike Store , the guys there are very helpful friendly and a pleasure to deal with. Store recommended. As for the bike absolutely loving it. I work as a carpenter so it is a physically demanding job and at 57 years of age. Cycling to work which is a round trip of 20 miles proved too much for my aged bones when I started. I started using the tube not a lover of the tube. Having only used the bike twice to get to work. Getting around Shepherd's Bush round about is no longer scary. Getting up Holland Park rd is fun all in all getting to and from work is a joy. Not only am I saving on fares but I'm getting fit or fitter. A deciding factor in spending what is a considerable amount of money on the Pulse X. Is it worth the money well based on my research I would have to say yes. Though I have no experience using any other e bike I do feel the bike is value for money. You can't put a price on the enthusiasm I now have for wanting to use my bike. My 5 day week will mean 100 miles of cycling for some that would be laughable. I'll be 58 this month I work hard so that milage is or was a daunting task. After the two times I've used the bike it is not and it'll get easier. If anything the Pulse X is the best birthday present I could have bought myself."
"This bike is fantastic! I tested the Pulse and thought it was great but I am so glad I purchased the Pulse X, the enhancements are so worth the extra. Well done VOLT™ and I've now purchased a Kensington for the good lady."
"I have just purchased the Alpine X and what can i say it's a superb bike, where i live there are lots of hill's (Whitby north Yorkshire) this machine tears up them, the gear changing is effortless and the different power setting would cater for most people, i cannot recommend this bike enough, and the service from VOLT™was outstanding especially Lyle who pointed me in the right direction, if your going to go the electric bike route give VOLT™ a ring you wont be disappointed.
