£1479.00 36V Standard [60+Miles]
The VOLT™ Burlington Step Through Classic Electric Bicycle is one of the latest 2015 models and features some amazing technology and design advances.
One of the best electric bicycles available, the VOLT™ Burlington proves popular with all types of riders. Stylish design and powerful 250W Bafang motor means it looks great and can take you almost anywhere.
Step Through Classic Electric Bicycles are designed to be comfortable on road and on light off-road routes, this bike is perfect for both. You’ll look great riding in the city or the country.
The 250 Watt maintenance free Bafang Power Motor ensures this electric bicycle can comfortably take you up any hill and makes easy riding against strong winds. But if you choose to ride without power assistance, the Burlington is a great ride with pedal power alone.
New for this year, the VOLT™ Burlington features "V-Wave" technology, the most customisable riding system available for electric bikes. V-Wave is an intuitive PAS (Pedal Assist) system allowing riders to adjust the power of the electric bike to best suit their riding style. V-Wave gives riders the ability to choose how quickly or slowly their bike accelerates, and monitors the pedalling efforts of the rider to release power when it’s most needed. V-Wave also increases battery and motor efficiency giving you more miles on each charge, and reduces the sound levels of the motor to near silent.
You have a choice of 5 PAS speed settings (0-5) or you can simply cruise without pedalling using the easy twist thumb throttle. With a top speed of 15.5mph this hybrid electric bicycle will get you to your destination fast.
All the components used on this bike are high end: from Shimano Alivio gears to Tektro Safety "Power Cut" Brakes, guaranteeing you a reliable, fun and very safe ride. The technology side of the bike is maintenance free and very reliable, meaning you can take your electric bike in for routine servicing at any good quality bicycle shop throughout the UK and Europe.

"I purchased a Volt Continental with a 16AH battery a month or so ago and have now covered well over 200 miles so I feel I now know the bike. I am in my late 50's and have cycled all my life. This bike is like getting your youth back! While the bike is heavier than I hoped, it handles very well and the brakes are first class. The gears are probably now needing their first (slight) adjustment but change slickly up and down the 8 speed. Without any power assistance (set to 0 on the V Wave controller),the bike rides very well and silently without drag from the motor. When the power is turned on the motor is not silent but this depends upon how much work the rider asks the motor to do. I have been a couple of rides around 40 miles and with careful use of the power I found I still had 75-80% of the battery power at the end. I am confident that I can achieve 80+ miles (as advertised) from the battery if required. The real thrill comes when a steep gradient is handled with ease. Even using power setting 2 or 3 the bike eats up the hills. I have found that cycling along on 0 setting and then using the boost control on short steep hills gives me a comfortable ride. When tired setting the control to 3 or 4 gives an easy ride home. The real proof of my satisfaction with the bike is the fact that I bought my wife a Volt Burlington so together we can both experience the joy of cycling that these machines give."
"I will start by saying that I am not the fittest bloke in the world but at 56 everything still (just about works). However I had no plans to test my knackered knees on a bike! We recently bought a motor home and wonderful as it is it became apparent that to maximise the experience we need to be able to explore the areas we land in. Lycra clad mountain biking didn't appeal but since we already had a bike rack on the new van we started exploring the electric bike option. They say you have to kiss a lot of frogs and that is certainly the case here. Bike shops support particular companies (normally because they are franchising to that company based on the cost of buying lots of different stock in) and they will champion these and often lie in doing so. Beware people always insist on s test ride! We did and rode loads. The volt was streaks ahead of the rest. It will do as much or as little as you wish! It also has an override (very few of the others do) which gives you an extra boost of power by pushing a lever helping you get out into busy traffic for example. Beautifully built ( I have a Pulse (!) and my partner has a Burlington) .they all claim long battery charge ( mine claims 60 miles on a charge) you need to take these with a pinch of salt as there are too many variables to make this accurate. Always assume less and buy accordingly as this is a factor in price."

"After a month of regular use I find my Burlington Bike just perfect! No exaggeration and the guy's at VOLT have been very helpful - the retailer less so."
"I have had my Burlington for about 6 weeks now and it is perfect. I was undecided between a hub and crank drive but having decided on the hub i do not regret my decision. I would definitely recommend Volt bikes. Buy one and start to enjoy a liberating new lifestyle."
"Due to health issues I needed a bike that is easy to get on and off and had to have electric to make the ride less strenuous.
The Burlington from Volt proved to be the one for me. Volt advised where the nearest one to me was and after a short journey to Chris's Cycles I was impressed by the bike it's suitability for my needs and also the helpfulness of both Volt and Chris in understanding my needs and helping to set up the bike to suit me.I do not ride very far on any of my rides but every ride brings me great joy and satisfaction. I would not hesitate to recommend Volt when choosing your next bike."

"It was a really well thought through decision to buy an electric Bicycle, and from that #electricmary, a very special VOLT™ Burlington was born. She has even started a blog and we are in danger of taking this all far to far indeed!
Thank you @ebikeUK @VoltBikesUK #lifestylechanger "
